Perry appeared to shout out Dion, 57, at one point, saying, “Katy Perry if you’re wondering. I’m not Celine Dion. That show is coming up next!” The appearance was notable because Dion has been out of the public eye since her diagnosis three years ago. She made her first public appearance in years at an NHL game at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas a week ago to see a game between her hometown team, the Montreal Canadiens, and the Las Vegas Golden Knights, joined by her three sons.
Dion revealed her Stiff-Person Syndrome diagnosis in December 2022, sharing that she was suffering from the rare condition marked by uncontrolled and severe spasms, which she said has sometimes caused difficulties walking and using her vocal cords appropriately. The condition caused Dion to push back or cancel all her 2023 tour dates to 2024., just before Perry sang her 2008 hit “Hot n Cold,” she took a break to acknowledge the child she welcomed in 2020 with fiancé actor Orlando Bloom.
