premiered the fashion-forward video for her new single “Imperfections” on Thursday , simultaneously revealing dates for a massive international tour.
In the moody, black-and-white video, the global icon dons a veritable parade of high-fashion looks -- including a billowing, bell-sleeved gown and a sublime mixed-print ensemble involving stripes, polka dots and a giant top hat -- while singing about embracing her flaws. Somewhat surprisingly, the powerhouse pairs the over-the-top fashion show with a relatively subdued performance, eschewing her trademark vocal acrobatics for a quiet, intense delivery. “Cause I got my own imperfections/ I got my own set of scars to hide/ I got my own imperfections/ I can’t hold your heart when I’m fixin’ mine,” Dion sings while serenely wiping off her makeup in front of a mirror.
The awe-inspiring outfits could be a hint at the ensembles Dion will be rocking on her Courage World Tour, as the superstar also announced the dates for the trek's international leg. The overseas dates will kick off in Prague on May 21, 2020, and hit cities in Germany, Italy, Norway, England, and several other countries -- including Dion's native France -- through Sept. 18, 2020., adding a stop in Glendale, Arizona, on March 29, 2020 and San Francisco on April 10, 2020.
