Cedar City Regional Airport bid farewell to airport manager Nick Holt last week.

Holt, who recently was hired as economic development and aviation manager for Utah Division of Aeronautics, started his new job on Monday in Salt Lake City. Instead of managing a single airport, he'll now be responsible for helping oversee various airports throughout the state, he said.

Holt's last day of work at Cedar City Regional was Friday, but Thursday featured a small send-off party inside the airport terminal. During his brief remarks, Holt thanked his fellow airport staff members, along with city officials and airport advisory board members for their ongoing support. He collectively credited the airport staff for "all that we were able to accomplish together because I know that one person can't do all that."

Holt outlined a few of the milestones and highlights over the last four-plus years since he became manager of Cedar City Regional Airport in 2018:More than $30 million in capital improvements to the airport infrastructure, with the money coming through federal, state and county grants, along with matching funds and other sources.
