'It’s just a foot in the door really as next year I hope to be the UK entrant!' The legend that is Catherine Tate is set to announce the UK's points at Eurovision.
Catherine Tate will be taking on an important role at theSpeaking of the honour she said: ‘It’s very exciting to be announcing the iconic “douze points” at Eurovision.’It’s extra special too for the 53-year-old as for the first time ever the UK spokesperson will announce the National Jury scores live from the very same arena where the actual contest is taking place in the UK.
The Office US and Doctor Who actress and writer of The Catherine Tate Show will be taking her place in Eurovision history amongst some impressive names. The celebrities who’ve previously been entrusted include AJ Odudu, Amanda Holden, Nigella Lawson, Mel Giedroyc, Richard Osman, Alex Jones, Cheryl Baker, Katrina Leskanich from Katrina & The Waves and Lorraine Kelly.
It’s not her only job for the BBC this year she’s reprising her role of Donna in Doctor Who later this year as part of the 60th anniversary. She will also star in brand new comedy series, Queen of Oz.
