Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 is officially on the way as Netflix announced the news in a new video confirming a second season.
Netflix announced the news, confirming that Project 51 Productions and Powerhouse Animation will continue to produce for Netflix. Sam Deats and Adam Deats will once again share directing duties. The video game adaptation reached Netflix’s Top 10 English TV List during the week of October 1 and also reached the Top 10 in 40 countries.
“Thanks to all of the Castlevania fans old and new for the amazing response and support!” said creator Clive Bradley and showrunner Kevin Kolde in a statement. “We are excited to be able to bring you more Castlevania: Nocturne and the next chapter in the rise of Richter Belmont.”“The gory and gothic adventures of the Castlevania franchise continue with an exciting new setting and their highest stakes yet,” reads the logline.
The spin-off features the voices of Edward Bluemel as Richter, Pixie Davies as Maria Renard, Thuso Mbedu as Annette, Natassja Kinski as Tera, Sydney James Harcourt as Edouard, Zahn McClarnon as and Franka Potente as Erzsebet Báthory. The latter character is based on a real-life controversial figure in history, who’s believed to be a serial killer who murders and tortures hundreds of girls and women. Legends say she used the blood of her victims to stay youthful by bathing in it.
