Castle Hills police: 2 killed, 1 injured after shooting near North Star Mall; no suspect info yet
Castle Hills police say over 40 shell casings — including handgun and rifle rounds — were found at the scene of a shooting near North Star Mall that killed two people and injured one. Two women are dead and one woman is injured after a shooting near North Star Mall early Sunday morning, according to Castle Hills Police Captain Wayne Waggoner.
About 5:20 a.m., officers in the area heard gunshots and then were approached by a homeless man on foot who told them something was going on in the 1000 block of the Northwest Loop 410, in the eastbound frontage road, right before Blanco Road. When they arrived they found a white four-door vehicle stopped in the center lane with bullet holes in it. Three women, all in their late teens or early 20s, were inside the car with serious injuries. Over 40 shell casings — including handgun and rifle rounds — lay on the ground, said Waggoner.
