Coming off of a rough season that left the Arizona Cardinals in the basement of the NFC West at 4-13 and featured a devastating knee injury to their starting quarterback, the teamhead coach Kliff Kingsbury and general manager Steve Keim stepped down. Their replacements, general manager Monti Ossenfort and first-time head coach Jonathan Gannon will have their work cut out for them to turn Arizona back into a playoff contender.
Anderson Jr. would bring everything the Cardinals need on their defense on the edge: an attacking, dominating run defender; a violent, relentless pass-rusher with high sacks production; a versatile defensive lineman that has lined up in the 3-technique, 4-tech, and on the edge. Again, this is a no-brainer move and there’s a reason it will be popular on just about every mock going into the draft in four weeks’ time.
