Cardi B is looking to recoup on her contributions after her coronavirus rant became a viral hit
Looking to get"her coins," Cardi expressed her surprise regarding the rapid ascension of the explosive tune on Instagram.
"The fact that this damn coronavirus song is charting on iTunes. Hold on … let me hit the DJ up and [her record label] Atlantic so I can get my damn coins," she wrote. Shortly after Cardi's initial post, the song crescendoed, rocking to No. 11 on the hip-hop chart."Damn I posted the iTunes chart 2 hours ago of this damn Corona song charting on the hip hop charts at 96 now it’s number 11, 86 on the overall charts ..I’m glad yaaa having fun .....Make sure you lysol your p---y before you POP IT."
Produced by DJ iMarkkeyz, the song rips a bit of Cardi's hilarious rant regarding the virus and has since found a home on Instagram, TikTok, and even the clubs. Over the weekend, a club in Rio De Janerio was spotted playing the"Coronavirus" record, prompting Cardi to respond to the footage, saying: “I might [as] well do a damn music video.”
