“I stopped dead in my tracks … I’m like, ‘That’s Jenny,'” the ex told NBC News of Jennifer Inzuza Vargas.

The stylish California suspect was IDed by an ex-boyfriend who told the outlet that he was shown the now-viral appeal by a buddy who found her striking images amusing.“I’m like, ‘That’s Jenny,'” he recalled.

Some suggested she was a mole, while others likened her to a character from a Wes Anderson movie or “Emily in Paris,” even dubbing her “Emily in-carceration.” “We weren’t, like, trying to get married or anything,” he said. “We were hooking up for a few months.”The suspect’s distinctive style had her dubbed “fascist Matilda” and even “Insurrection Eva Braun,”“I was just instantly turned off, like, ‘Yo, I don’t think this is going to work out,’” he said.

They remained in touch, and the designer claims that he even asked Vargas if she was on a “no fly” list for having been at the Capitol on Jan. 6.
