Two bus services travelling through an East Renfrewshire town have been halted for the second night in a row due to reported "attacks".
McGill's Buses confirmed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the number 3 and 51 would not pass through Auchenback in Barrhead during the evening yesterday, October 28. The company made the decision to "keep everyone safe". The initial post read: "From 5pm onwards tonight, due to attacks on our vehicles and to keep everyone safe the 3 & 51 are not serving Auchenback: 3 is missing out Auchenback serving Barrhead Main St only. 51 will run to/from Dovecothall Roundabout, Barrhead Main Street. Thanks for bearing with us."One individual commented: "How long is this going to go on for? Will it be a permanent change to the route as that's 2 evenings in a row now.
