LSU quarterback Joe Burrow won the 85th Heisman Trophy in record-setting fashion on Saturday night.
Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts was second in the balloting, with Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields third and Ohio State defensive end Chase Young fourth. Burrow received 841 first-place votes, with Hurts receiving 12, Fields six and Young 20. Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who missed the final two games because of a hip injury, received one first-place vote and finished 10th.
Burrow had been the runway leader since he completed 31 of 39 passes for 393 yards and three touchdowns in a 46-41 win at Alabama on Nov. 9.
