Starting today, Burger King is taking its plant-based Impossible Whopper nationwide. 🍔
Published 5:00 AM EDT Aug 8, 2019The fast-food chain announced the meatless and vegan burger will be available at more than 7,000 locations for a limited time starting Aug. 8. It also will be available for delivery through the BK App and through DoorDash.
“We’ve heard great feedback and know the Impossible Whopper appeals to both current guests who are already big fans of the Whopper sandwich, as well as new guests who are excited about this new option,” Chris Finazzo, Burger King's president for North America, said in an Aug. 1 statement.
“Being brand led and being guest centric, we let our guests decide which items should earn a permanent place on our menus,” Cil said. “We're very excited about the prospects of building a platform with plant-based burgers and other menu options, but we're starting as we always do and let's see what happens.”
