, an animal rescue and protection organization, is working with the Arizona Humane Society to transfer the bunnies — including a Lionhead, Himalayan and Holland Lops — to Texas.
A Lionhead is one of twenty rabbits that were transferred from Arizona to Texas after being rescued from a hoarder home in September.According to a Houston SPCA news release, the 12-hour drive also includes a stop at a San Antonio sanctuary. The release stated the remaining rescued rabbits were placed into foster homes or adopted in Arizona.regularly for photos and additional information as they become available.
Twenty of over 100 bunnies rescued from a hoarder home in Glendale, Arizona will soon be up for adoption at Houston SPCA."Rabbits make excellent small pets as they can be playful, independent and can be as affectionate as a canine," the Houston SPCA release stated."It’s important to note, they are not short-term pets as some rabbits can live as long as 12 years.
