A large-scale police investigation is underway after five people are dead from what Buffalo Grove police say was a domestic-related incident.
Three adults and two children were found dead in a home in the north suburb of Buffalo Grove Wednesday night, according to the coroner's office.Three adults and two children were found dead in a home in the north suburb of Buffalo Grove Wednesday night, according to the coroner's office.Officers were dispatched to a two-story home in the 2800-block of Acacia Terrace around 11:12 a.m. after receiving a call for a well-being check on a woman.
When there was no answer at the residence, officers forced entry and discovered the five people dead during a sweep of the home, officials said. "Eighteen years. My kids grew up here, so it's... you never see it, never seen anything like this ever," said Falguni Patel, a Buffalo Grove resident.Police added that they are not searching for a suspect and that this is an isolated incident.
"It's a shock. It's not what you expect, especially, it's a family neighborhood, good area, quiet area," said fellow Buffalo Grove resident, Michelle. The ages, genders and injuries sustained will not be released until after the autopsies Thursday, the Lake County Coronor said."Be with your family. Hold someone a little closer. You just never know what to expect," Michelle added.This is a developing story and will be updated when more information becomes available.
