Kevin Stefanski and the Browns can return to the practice field soon.CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Browns will open their offseason program on Tuesday, April 19 and it will run through June 16 when the team will break before training camp, set to open in late July.
The offseason program consists of three phases, starting with two weeks of strictly meetings, strength and conditioning and rehab. The second phase spans three weeks and includes on-field work but no offense vs. defense drills. Phase Three is the portion of the program fans are most familiar with, spanning four weeks that include 10 OTA practices and the mandatory minicamp.
No portions of the offseason program are open to the public while one OTA practice each week will be open to the media, as is the entire minicamp. Following the completion of the mandatory minicamp, players are given a break until training camp, which for non-quarterbacks and veteran players opens 47 days prior to the team’s first regular-season game.
“I do expect Deshaun to be there April 19th with everybody else,’’ Stefanski said at the NFL coaches breakfast Monday morning. “And you know, I haven’t had an offseason yet with players. Year One was COVID; Year Two as you know was a little bit different. So looking forward to having a normal offseason.”
