A teenager has been charged with murdering and sexually assaulting his own sister, whose body was discovered in a park

Amber Gibson, 16, left her home in the Hillhouse area of Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, at around 9.15pm last Friday. She was reported missing later that night, and her body was found in the town’s Cadzow Glen park at about 10.10am on Sunday. Yesterday Connor Gibson, 19, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court accused of murder, sexual assault by penetration and an attempt to pervert the course of justice.
