Bronx detectives are looking for the killer who shot a man dead in front of a bodega on Tuesday morning.
Police said Parrish Truesdale, 28, of White Plains Road was gunned down in the vicinity of a grocery store at 2155 Grand Concourse in Fordham Heights at about 12:28 a.m. on Dec. 13., whose headquarters is located about three blocks east of the shooting scene, responded to the location after getting a ShotSpotter activation at nearby 2171 Grand Concourse. ShotSpotter is the NYPD’s network of sensors designed to pick up the sounds of possible gunfire, and evoke a rapid police response.
Upon arriving at 2155 Grand Concourse, law enforcement sources said, officers located Truesdale, who was unconscious and unresponsive on the sidewalk, with a gunshot wound to his head.Police sources did not have details regarding a possible motive for the shooting, or a description of the suspect.Anyone with information regarding the homicide can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS .
