Amidst the swirling drama around her, Britney Spears’s feed has returned to eccentric form
After a string of photos from her Turks and Caicos vacation, though, this past week Spears hasratcheted things up a notch. Picking up your phone and opening up Instagram this week, there was really no way of predicting what Spears was going to be offering up, her account again the most entertaining and surprising of the celebrity offerings out there.song, and she wrote a caption that we have since committed to memory.
After a photo of her legs in a petal-filled bath, Spears posted perhaps her most enigmatic recent shot of all: a photograph of awith the caption “WATERMELON .... and SALT.” If this didn’t become your new iPhone background immediately, we don’t understand you. What all of this means—the watermelon, Mary Magdalene, the artwork—is impossible for us to know, but this Spears on Instagram seems very closely aligned with the Spears on Instagram of previous years, before the tumult of her personal life took hold. It seems most likely these are just images and thoughts and videos she likes a lot and that she has fun putting together. She’s having fun! Not enough people approach Instagram that way now, probably.
