A judge has approved Jamie Spears' request to be temporarily relieved of his role as Britney Spears' conservator
' request to be temporarily relieved of his role as the 37-year-old singer's conservator.
Jamie filed court papers on Sept. 5 asking the court to allow him to step down at his daughter’s conservatorship and to appoint a temporary conservatorship in his place. Britney has been under a conservatorship since 2008 when she was taken into UCLA hospital in an ambulance on a 5150 psychiatric hold after refusing to relinquish custody of her children.
The document states that Montgomery “is an experienced professional fiduciary with ability, experience, and support resources, to take on these obligations during this time and has been the care manager for Spears for approximately a year." And that it is in the “best interest” of Spears that Montgomery be appointed.
