Dwain Clemmings was arrested in the Grosvenor Road area on 28 June this year, following information about drug dealing.
drug dealer has been jailed after being found with large amounts of cocaine and cannabis, as well as a lock knife. He attempted to flee from the officers and discard a bag. However, he was detained and found to be in possession of cocaine, with an estimated street value of about £1,800, plus cannabis and a lock knife. He was handed a two-year sentence having pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs, plus a third count of possession of a bladed article.
As well as the prison sentence, Clemmings was also hit with a criminal behaviour order. This prevents him from entering parts of east Bristol for the next three years. Inspector Chris Green said: “Drug dealing can cause misery in communities and we are grateful for the public’s help in making us aware of this matter so we could respond and apprehend a young man who was seeking to profit from the illegal sale of cocaine and cannabis.
"We welcome the sentence handed out and hope the criminal behaviour order provides reassurance to local people that he will not be able to return to the area once released.”
