'My reaction was to just burst out crying. I didn't know what to do.' 😔
A mum says she "burst out crying" after being confronted by a supermarket employee while trying to breastfeed her baby in a car park. Beth Coles says she was approached by the Sainsbury's staff member and told what she was doing was "inappropriate".

She just gave me a funny look and walked off, and I was like, 'oh, okay your goal was to make me cry'." Beth shared her experience on a breastfeeding Facebook group and received support from other members, with a number of people sending complaints to Sainsbury's in the process. After emailing the supermarket herself, Beth said she was offered a £40 gift card and told staff members would be spoken to, which the young mum said felt like a "joke".
Beth still says she has not received a formal apology from the supermarket though. She added: "Unless they sent it by carrier pigeon, and it got lost, then no there has been no apology at all."
