Breanna Stewart Wins 2023 WNBA MVP - RealGM Wiretap
Breanna Stewart has been named the 2023 WNBA MVP in the closest three-way race in league history.
Stewart and runner-up Alyssa Thomas of the Connecticut Sun were separated by seven points, the second-smallest margin between the winner and runner-up in the award's history.Thomas received 23 first place votes compared to 20 for Stewart, but Stewart received 23 second place votes compared to 12 for Thomas.
Stewart won her first MVP in 2018. Stewart left the Seattle Storm to sign with the New York Liberty this past offseason.
