RIO DE JANEIRO - Brazilian securities regulator CVM suspended a 3 billion-real local debt issuance by state-run oil firm Petroleo Brasileiro SA, after the firm’s chief financial officer allegedly broke quiet period regulations. The suspension lasts “up to 30 days,” the regulator said, but the length of the suspension can be reduced if a series of mitigation measures are carried out, such as the removal of the interview with the company’s CFO that was posted on YouTube and referred to the issuance.
