A Seat Leon was stolen from a business in Clifton and then stopped in Leyland
Two boys have been arrested after stealing a car from a dealership and then leading police on a short chase.
Lancashire Constabulary said they were called to a business on Blackpool Road, Clifton, shortly before 4pm on Monday to a report of theft of a Seat Leon car. Around 30 minutes later, officers stopped the stolen car in the Farington Moss area of Leyland 'following a short pursuit'. Police arrested two 16-year-old boys suspicion of aggravated taking of a motor vehicle. They remain in custody for questioning.In a statement on Facebook, a force spokesperson said: "Two teenagers have been arrested after a car was taken from a dealership near Preston. We were called at 3.59pm yesterday to a business on Blackpool Road, Clifton, to a report of theft of a Seat Leon car.
"At approximately 4.30pm, our officers stopped a car in the Farington Moss area of Leyland following a short pursuit. Two 16-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of aggravated taking of a motor vehicle and remain in custody."
