Alfie now struggles to do ‘all the normal things his peers are able to do’ and his dreams of being a vet feel dashed, mum Hannah says. His sprained ankle was only meant to take eight weeks to heal, Hannah said, but doctors revised their estimate to 10 and then 12 weeks as the injury worsened.
