An inquest is set to open into the boy's death
Jack Piper-Sheach was found unresponsive at about 10.39pm on Sunday, September 3, at Tiffany’s Hotel on the Promenade in Blackpool. He died with his family at his bedside four days later in hospital in Liverpool.
Following Jack’s death, a spokesman for the hotel said they will assist any investigation and passed on condolences to the boy’s family. They said: "We are deeply saddened by this recent incident involving a child who has received a shock on Sunday evening within our reception lounge area. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the child and their family during this distressing time.
Lancashire Police said in a statement issued last week: "A boy has sadly died following an incident at a Blackpool hotel. We were called to the Promenade, Blackpool, at 10.39pm on Sunday, September 3 to reports a 10-year-old boy had been found unresponsive inside a hotel.
