A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy was mauled twice by the same pitbull-type dog as he played with his friends after school.Cheryl revealed her son has been left with "scarring wounds" following the horror attack on October 12.
She told the Edinburgh Reporter: "This is a big scary looking dog and it is quite old as well. She revealed how Reece had spotted the dog's owner entering the park on a lead, but he and his friends began running after the dog started chasing them.Police Scotland and City of Edinburgh Council have opened a probe into the dog attack. A police spokesman said: "We were made aware of a child having been bitten by a dog around 3.30pm on October 12 in the Craigentinny area of Edinburgh.
