BREAKING: Boy, 17, charged over alleged fight near Piccadilly

A boy of 17 has been charged after an alleged fight outside Piccadilly railway station. Officers were scrambled and London Road was cordoned off on Tuesday afternoon as cops responded to a 'fight between two males'. The force said an arrested suspect sustained a hand injury and was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. A spokesman for the force has now confirmed a boy, aged 17, has been charged with two public order offences; one count of affray; one count of section 18 wounding; and another charge of possession of a bladed article,

He is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court tomorrow . The teenager cannot be named for legal reasons. A police investigation is continuing and any witnesses or anyone with footage or information is urged to contact us quoting log 1914 of 27/06/23.
