The 14-year-old has been remanded in custody
A 14-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after another teenager was stabbed.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Blackpool Youth Court on Monday June 5. Police were called to reports of disorder on Lancaster Road, Carnforth at around 6:30pm on Saturday June 3. A teenager was airlifted to hospital with stab wounds. He remains in intensive care where his condition is stable.
A 14-year-old, from Morecambe, was arrested the same day and later charged with attempted murder. Magistrates said the case was so serious it could only be dealt with at the crown court. The teenager has not entered any plea to the charge he faces. Magistrates remanded him in custody and ordered him to appear at Preston Crown Court on July 3.
