Snow is forecast for Boxing Day in some parts of the UK. Up to 11cm of snow is expected to fall in some areas throughout the day, according to a weather anaylser, Ventusky.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice for Boxing Day.The warning covers almost the entirety of Scotland - just missing Perth and Aberdeen - and is in place until 6pm. Roads and railways are likely to be affected by delays, while there could also be intermittent powercuts. Hill snow is expected across parts of Yorkshire.
Showers will clear up this evening, with the forecast predicting: "Showers easing to leave a dry and largely clear night. Winds easing and becoming very cold with a widespread frost developing. Minimum temperature -3 °C."
