Bowling firm Lane 7 is seeking an alcohol licence for the site, which has stood empty since March.
A closed-down food hall in Hull could be transformed into a bar and bowling alley, according to plans.
Hammonds of Hull opened in December 2021 but its operator confirmed in March it would be closing due to a legal dispute with the building's owners. Now bowling company Lane 7 has applied for an alcohol licence for the site, according to the city council.Hammonds of Hull was in the former House of Fraser building on Ferensway and featured cafes and bars as well as stalls selling local produce and musical performances.At the time, its operators Artisan Food Hall said the closure was "hugely disappointing".
Lane 7 has venues across the country, including in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Cardiff.The firm is seeking an alcohol licence from 10:00 to 01:00 Monday to Sunday, according to Hull City Council documents.
