Former Liverpool midfielder Gary McAllister has revealed how he once earned the wrath of legendary manager Brian Clough.
But after the future Liverpool midfielder told Clough that he wouldn’t be joining Nottingham Forest, the controversial boss shouted one word down the phone at the Scot before abruptly hanging up.READ MORE: Liverpool had to pay out £1m bonus to £85,000-per-week striker who hardly scored Clough wasn’t the only manager who McAllister snubbed the advances of during his playing career. He also went on to reject Liverpool legend Sir Kenny Dalglish.
“There was also talk of Liverpool being keen earlier in my career , in the late ’80s, but nothing concrete.”
