U.K. prime minister urges vote against bill that will delay Brexit until January
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday said a vote to delay Brexit would “chop the legs” of his negotiating position and that he didn’t want to hold a general election.
Johnson said chances for a deal with the European Union were rising, “because they can see we are actually determined to strengthen our position by getting ready to come out.” “I don’t want an election, you don’t want an election,” he added amid heightened expectations that a general election may be announced within days.
