The UK government's legal chief says Johnson's government will not break a law passed by opposition members of parliament to delay Brexit.

The UK government will not break the law forcing them to delay Brexit, the UK Justice Secretary has said. Members of Parliament passed an act earlier this month designed to force prime minister Boris Johnson to seek a delay if he fails to ratify a Brexit deal by the middle of October. However, Johnson has insisted there are"no circumstances" under which he will seek another delay to Brexit. The Justice Secretary Robert Buckland dismissed suggestions Johnson would break the law.
