This comes as the rules regarding the sale of fireworks have tightened in Scotland. From October 10, it has been an criminal offence for anyone to supply fireworks or other pyrotechnics to a child or person under the age of 18, under the Fireworks and Pyrotechnic Articles Act.

If you are unable to attend an organised display, the Fire and Rescue service are encouraging people to consider the impact of fireworks on people and animals.
