North Berwick's Coastguard Rescue Team said they attended Yellowcraig beach after reports of a suspected ordnance having being found on Saturday, November 4.
The bomb squad and coastline were called to an East Lothian beach after a member of the public discovered a 'suspect item'.
The suspicious item was eventually identified as a disposed hydraulic ram, and the coastguard thanked the member of the public who reported it and said even experts 'had their concerns', reports Edinburgh Live. "Images were obtained for the Explosives Ordinance Disposal experts who were also concerned by the item and attended in person. Following testing and xrays the item was exposed and removed, identifying it as a disposed hydraulic ram!
