with Axios published Monday, Bolton suggested that the administration is aware Trump’s approach has failed; that North Korea’s nuclear program has expanded since the president’s 2018 meeting with Kim in Singapore; and that peace on the Korean peninsula remains elusive. “We’re now nearly three years into the administration,” Bolton said, “with no visible progress toward getting North Korea to make the strategic decision to stop pursuing deliverable nuclear weapons.
