olombia’s sprawling capital, Bogotá, is making headlines this year for its sustainability efforts and top-flight culinary offerings.
Bogotá added 52 miles of bike paths to its existing 370 miles during the pandemic, and the city’s altitude provides year-round cool temperatures, making it one of the most cyclable places in South America. This autumn, a new bike-share program is launching in five neighborhoods, including the historic La Candelaria district. The program will offer e-bikes and hand bikes too, improving the city’s accessibility for people with differing abilities.
