Bob Myers has stepped down as president and general manager of the Golden State Warriors. Myers' contract was set to expire at the end of June.Myers had been with the Warriors for 12 years and is unsure of his next steps professionally. Myers was offered a contract by the Warriors for him to stay that would have made him one of the highest paid executives in the NBA.
With Myers' departure, Warriors owner Joe Lacob is expected to seek more prominent roles for his son, Kirk, an executive VP of Basketball Operations, and VP of Basketball Operations Mike Dunleavy Jr.
