Blunt Umbrellas collaborates with London-based streetwear designer bluntumbrellas
The umbrella takes inspiration from George’s “Freedom of Expression” collection, and uses multiple printing techniques to create a unique camo print with various colours and textures.
George Clarke was the winner of last year’s Blunt Design Award at iD Dunedin Fashion Week, an annual event dedicated to growing sustainable fashion in New Zealand and beyond. Blunt umbrellas was founded by a Kiwi engineer, with the aim of reinventing the umbrella. The result was the world’s strongest umbrella, tested to withstand winds of up to 117km/hour, backed by a five-year global warranty.
George Clarke, said: “It was such an honour to win the Blunt Design Award at iD Fashion Week this year and it’s amazing to see my design come to life on a limited edition umbrella. I can’t wait to see people in New Zealand and across the globe enjoying it.”
