A Blount County man allegedly filmed a minor in her bedroom without her knowledge.

A Blount County man is behind bars, charged with dozens of felony crimes involving the photographing of a young girl without her knowledge. Joseph Brad Smith, 48, is charged with 28 counts of aggravated surveillance, seven counts of first-degree voyeurism, and two counts each of producing pornography involving a minor and possession of pornography involving a minor, according to court and jail records.Charging documents against Smith state that the alleged crimes happened between October 2021 and last week. Smith is accused of filming the minor victim underneath her bedroom door, capturing videos of her breasts and buttocks.
Records do not state the relationship between the suspect and the victim, nor do they indicate any forced entry into the home. Investigators executed a search warrant on Smith’s phone and discovered images of her in various stages of undress.
