'Blade Runner' may be a masterpiece of futuristic sci-fi, but the 1982 film is set this year. To celebrate, fans have started calling November 1 'Blade Runner Day.'

However, the L.A. in the movie, often voted one of the best science fiction films of all time, is just a little different from the real-life city in 2019, which is sorely lacking in flying cars, oil flare booms and giant billboards featuring winking Japanese women.Fans have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment that the futurepromised has not happened. For example, one wrote:"#BladeRunner was apparently set in November 2019.
Other fans could not help but take a dig at President Donald Trump, with one tweet reading that real life 2019 is"Not as grim but Trump is trying!!!!!," while another asked:"The originalis set in this month, November 2019.
