A man has been charged following an attempted armed robbery at a Post Office in Blackpool on Saturday .
Lancashire Constabulary officers were called to Ansdell Road at 10.22am following reports a man wearing a balaclava had gone inside brandishing a firearm and demanding cash. He left the store emptyhanded. Following enquiries, a 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with the offence. In an update this afternoon , the force said that after consulting the Crown Prosecution Service a man has been charged.
