The price of Bitcoin soared above $11,000 on Monday for the first time in more than a year, continuing a rally that has been building steam for several weeks.
The surge comes even as Bitcoin’s trading volume remains subdued, well below the heady days of 2017 and even below the volume in April, when Bitcoin was worth around $4,000, according to exchange volume data from Blockchain.com.
