In the hours since Damar Hamlin was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, a steady group of fans of both the Bills and Bengals have gathered outside the hospital. From a couple just as the game was suspended to when rain started falling just before midnight, that crowd grew to approximately 50 fans.
A pair of fans in Bengals jerseys stood with candles lit and the larger group circled in prayer for the Bills’ safety. UC Health spokesperson Amanda Nageleisen said there was no scheduled announcement or press briefing Monday night or Tuesday morning. Still, fans drove by the assembled media and fans over the course of the night, looking for any update beyond the rumors spreading on social media. None were given.
