probably has the biggest differential in terms of having a terrific theme song for a terrible Bond movie. The 007 song is by its nature pretty darn silly, and we can debate how many of them are actually “good” versus “good fun as a Bond song.” The only Bond themes to win Oscars were the last two, specifically Sam Smith’s karaoke-friendly romantic ballad and Adele’s powerhouse “Skyfall” which, like the Sam Mendes blockbuster itself, was something of a modern throwback to old-school 007 thrillers.
