Biden says he asked Obama not to endorse him by stableford
In his first public remarks since announcing his candidacy for president, former Vice President Joe Biden said he asked former President Barack Obama not to endorse him.
Earlier Thursday, Biden announced his 2020 presidential bid in a video warning that four more years of President Trump would “forever and fundamentally alter the character of this nation.”“President Obama has long said that selecting Joe Biden as his running mate in 2008 was one of the best decisions he ever made,” Obama spokeswoman Katie Hill said. “He relied on the vice president’s knowledge, insight and judgment throughout both campaigns and the entire presidency.
In 2016, Obama waited until voting in the primaries had ended before endorsing the presumptive nominee, Hillary Clinton.
