Importantly, much of this relief will go to borrowers whoby the Department, but were granted only partial or limited relief.

These student loan forgiveness initiatives are consistent with the Biden administration’s stated goal of providing, and they will have very real, tangible benefits for hundreds of thousands of borrowers. The TPD discharge initiatives alone will result in complete federal student loan relief for over 360,000 borrowers.
