US President Biden and Indian PM Modi call on Pakistan to ensure its territory is not used to launch militant attacks, White House says in a joint statement; Pakistan hasn't commented on the statement yet

"They strongly condemned cross-border terrorism, the use of terrorist proxies and called on Pakistan to take immediate action to ensure that no territory under its control is used for launching terrorist attacks," the White House said on Thursday.Relations between nuclear-armed neighbours India and Pakistan have been fraught for years.

India has for years accused Pakistan of helping rebels who have battled Indian troops in India-administered Kashmir since the late 1980s.
