Beyond Meat's newly issued stock poised to open 80% above IPO pricing level
priced its initial public offering at $25 a share Wednesday evening, the high end of a range that had been increased. The plant-based meat company plans to sell at least 9.6 million shares at that price, raising more than $240 million at a valuation slightly shy of $1.5 billion. Beyond Meat originally sought to sell 8.75 million shares at a price of $19 to $21, but increased the share count and price range earlier this week.
Beyond Meat, the maker of plant-based meats, has increased the size of its planned initial public offering and raised the price range, indicating a strong investor reception to the deal. The company said in a regulatory filing that it now plans to offer 9.5 million shares priced at $23 to $25 each. That compares with an earlier plan to offer 8.8 million shares priced at $19 to $21 each.
